Around two thousand views a day across the first half of the window — roughly what the account had been doing all along. Our first videos went up in the middle of July. That is where the curve leaves the floor, and the best day after it did 32K.

Views are the number people quote. Interactions are the number worth watching: shares, saves and comments more than tripled against the previous period. That is people passing the thing on to somebody else, which is the one figure you cannot buy.
